Air New Zealand's new $14 million Auckland International Lounge


Greenmount Espies was one of the key contractors involved in this large scale, high end fit-out. 

Some interesting facts about the job:

- 5,500 lineal metres of Tazi Ash were installed (and not as flooring)

- 784 Pins were manufactured and installed on the 'Push/Pull Wall"

- 60sheets/15 ton of Ceasarstone were used in the project

- The largest Aluminium clad panel installed, weighed 117kgs and sits 9metres up

- 24 different styles of seating.

- A new food theatre with cuisine cooked by the lounge's resident chef as well as a buffet

- A bar offering barista-made coffee, premium New Zealand wines and signature cocktails.

- A kids' area modelled on a Kiwi tree house with books, interactive toys and children's programmes.

- A business zone with charging, Wi-Fi and printing facilities.

- More than 300 powerpoints and more than 300 USB outlets.

According to the NZ Herald: "Air New Zealand chief executive Chris Luxon said, after talking with customers, it became clear what they wanted was "a haven" to relax in and get away from the hubbub of the airport. With distinct areas for families, business people and quiet time, there are plenty of havens within a haven for customers to choose from."
